Anne Bradstreet
1612 - 1672

Considered to be the first poetess of the New England colony. She emigrated to Massachusetts in 1630 with her husband Simon Bradstreet, who later became Governor of Massachusetts, and other members of her family including John Leverett also a future Governor. A commemorative stained glass window of her can be seen in St.Botolphs Church.
